The Sacramento Bee’s Dan Walters reminds us that job estimates for major infrastructure projects (e.g., 136,000 jobs to build the twin tunnels and restore Delta habitat) refer to one job for one year — not perpetual employment, the way most of us think of “jobs.”
These “annualized” estimates make these projects appear deceptively lucrative in terms of the number of jobs they create.
