I was saddened to read of the passing of Alison Hudson in today’s Record.
I didn’t know Alison well, but I worked with her over the years in her capacity as solid waste manager for San Joaquin County.
And I can say this: While some people’s philosophies are a byproduct of their jobs, I know Alison’s job was a byproduct of her philosophy — her belief in environmental stewardship and careful management of hazardous waste.
Her commitment was evident as she remained active in that cause during her seven-year bout with cancer.
You can read Alison’s obituary here.
