Worst acronym ever?

The folks at NASA plan to fly over the southern San Joaquin Valley to monitor air pollution over the next couple of months.

The name of the project? DISCOVER-AQ.

Do you really want to know what that stands for?

OK — I warned you.

How about: “Deriving Information on Surface Conditions from Column and Vertically Resolved Observations Relevant to Air Quality.”
