Bon voyage, Casino Royale

That mega-yacht docked in front of the Waterfront Warehouse for the past eight months has departed for the Mediterranean.

This was expected. Casino Royale’s billionaire owner David McDonald had said he’d be staying in Stockton no more than a year.

He left with an upbeat letter to the editor in today’s paper: “Stockton’s state-of-the-art downtown marina, coupled with the beautifully revitalized surrounding areas, provided us with one of our most enjoyable port stops anywhere in the world. You have much to be proud of.”
