A caller today tells me that he stripped the solar panels off his own roof before giving up his house in a short sale.
“I took everything I could out of – and off of — that house,” he said.
“When I asked them for help they took $68 off my $1,836 mortgage. I said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me…. When I run out of money you ain’t getting nothin’.'”
The panels, he said, are sitting in storage until things settle down.
