Turning up the heat

Calaveras River advocates are asking the National Marine Fisheries Service for an update on the long-delayed habitat conservation plan that would eventually improve conditions for migratory fish.

It’s been something like 10 years since the process started, and still, no plan in place. Of course, NMFS has been understandably busy dealing with a crisis in some place called the Delta.

In a letter, the Friends of the Lower Calaveras River is asking for an executive summary or administrative draft to provide at least some information.
