Supes to consider opposing ‘BDCP-Plus’

Update: Here’s a county staff report strongly condemning BDCP.

One day before the governor’s rumored peripheral canal announcement, San Joaquin County supervisors on Tuesday will consider a resolution calling the Bay Delta Conservation Plan “destructive to the economy, habitat, water rights, water quality, land use governance, and way of life in the county of San Joaquin and the Delta.”

As drafted, the resolution opposes the latest down-sized version of BDCP, and includes 12 conditions that would have to be met for the county to ever consider supporting the project.
