Wednesday, Feb. 15: California Water Commission meeting. 9 a.m., state Resources Building, 1416 Ninth St., first floor auditorium. Agenda includes consideration of additional “resolutions of necessity” to conduct peripheral canal/tunnel studies on private property in the Delta.

Thursday, Feb. 16: Climate Action Plan Advisory Committee meeting. 8:15 a.m., City Council chambers, Stockton City Hall. Discussion of draft plan released on Feb. 6.

Saturday, March 3:Public forum, “A Primer on Water and the Delta,” hosted by coalition of Stockton-area environmentalists, businesses and government agencies. 8:30 a.m., Stockton Civic Auditorium. Speakers include Jerry Meral, deputy secretary for the California Natural Resources Agency; Jason Peltier of the Westlands Water District; Stockton Mayor Ann Johnston; south Delta water attorney John Herrick; and others.

Tuesday, March 6: “Paddle to the Sea” discussion. 7 p.m., Stockton REI. Free. Information will be provided about the 18-day, 241-mile Paddle to the Sea down the Tuolumne River later this year. More details here.
