Update II: Here’s the story.
Update: I lied. No story yet, but soon.
A local water board meeting got out of hand the other night. Rural landowners east of Lodi are still mad that they’re being charged to pump groundwater; the issue will be on the ballot again in June.
The story has a long and tortured history, but you’ll get the gist of it if you watch this clip. (Note elderly man in front row who points a menacing, bony finger at Board President Tom Hoffman.)
Sadly, I missed the part where a man in the back room of room addressed controversial board member Bryan Pilkington, calling out — in a deep, gravely and sufficiently intimidating voice — “Sit down, ya (bleep)!!!”
Watch for a story this weekend that will explain in more depth what all the hollering is about.
