‘Problem solved’

In two short paragraphs, a Stockton man claims he has solved California’s decades-long water worries.

Here is Mark Shubert’s letter to the editor in today’s Record:

“With the limited supply of water, California government needs to think out of the box. Northern California needs the water we have to provide for our own growth. We should not be sending water to Southern California.

“I propose that we stop giving any water to the Los Angeles and San Diego regions. The water they have been getting should go to the San Joaquin Valley. Instead of spending billions on a canal or tunnel, spend that money on desalination plants in L.A. Problem solved.”
