Cal State Fullerton is visiting Spanos Center tonight in a key game early in the Big West Conference race.
Pacific is currently in sole possession of second place, while the Titans are in a three-way tie for third place behind Long Beach State. The Tigers have won five of their past six games, while Cal State Fullerton halted a two-game losing streak with a 94-88 win at UC Davis.
Pacific coach Bob Thomason will have to find a defensive look to slow down the Titans’ attack that features D.J. Seeley (18.3 points per game) and Kwame Vaughn (18 per game) and it may take some time to figure out if that’ll be a man-to-man or zone defense. As always, senior point guard Lorenzo McCloud will be the engine to Pacific’s offense that will need its jump shots to fall.
“Superhero Night” has boosted the crowd tonight with hundreds of children running around in orange Pacific capes, so it will be louder than usual tonight. That should help spur the Tigers to a 78-71 victory.
