The Tigers are back in town to host the Highlanders in about 30 minutes and they’re hoping they can match their outstanding play on the last homestand.
Pacific won games against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly by a combined 40 points two weeks ago before splitting a road trip in Hawaii and Cal State Northridge. UC Riverside halted a three-game losing streak with a 68-58 win over UC Irvine last Saturday and will look to slow the pace against Pacific tonight.
The Tigers (10-8, 4-2) would retain solo possession of second place with a victory and would fall into a quagmire in the middle of the conference standings with a loss. Coach Bob Thomason should be able to find enough scoring in his rotation to eventually get a double-digit win over the Highlanders.
Prediction: Pacific 76-62
