UC Riverside at Pacific men (halftime)

An ugly first half has ended with Pacific leading UC Riverside 31-24.

The Tigers have led wire-to-wire after jumping out to a 13-3 lead. Senior point guard Lorenzo McCloud has 8 points, two assists and three steals to spark the Tigers, who have managed to let the poor-shooting Highlanders hang around. Junior center Khalil Kelley has nine points, three rebounds and three blocks to win the matchup so far against UC Riverside’s leading scorer Chris Patton (6 points, 3 rebounds).

Pacific made 13 of 27 shots, but was just 1 of 4 from beyond the arc. UC Riverside is just 9 of 24 from the field and has eight turnovers. The Tigers should be able to shoot themselves past the Highlanders with a well-timed hot stretch.
