The Thunder traveled to HP Pavilion in San Jose on Monday and won an entertaining 6-4 game against the San Francisco Bulls.
The hockey-starved fans got a chance to sample ECHL hockey, and while it’s certainly not the NHL, it was a fun, interesting contest.
There were 10 goals and four fights, and Stockton’s Toni Rajala responded with his first professional hat trick.
It was a good night for both teams and the league. Thunder coach Matt Thomas said he hopes some of the crowd of 12,881 will decide to check out the product in Stockton or at the Bulls’ home, the Cow Palace in Daly City. He may well get his wish.
