The Tigers outscored Nevada 21-14 over the final 6-plus minutes to lead 33-31 at halftime against Nevada.
The Wolf Pack’s tough physical defense made things difficult for Pacific in the early going, but junior Ross Rivera (9 points) and senior point guard Lorenzo McCloud (7 points) lead the charge in the closing minutes of the half.
Nevada has made 13 of 28 shots at the half, while Pacific is 13 of 27. It should remain a nip-and-tuck game after halftime and Pacific will need to make shots to have any chance.
