Thunder wins once again painted pink

I have no idea what it is about the pink paint on the ice at Stockton Arena. It might be a chemical reaction, a complete coincidence or the Thunder just likes skating around on ity.

But this team is uncommonly good on the bright surface.

Surely, it can’t be a complete accident that Stockton is 12-1-3 during the seven Thunder Goes Pink events which benefit breast cancer awareness. And it’s great for the fans, who come to help a good cause, celebrate the survivors and get to see their team win.

I heard some people jokingly suggest the arena should leave the ice pink the rest of the season, just to see what happens. At least I think they were kidding.

Overall, three wins and 18 goals made for a fun weekend at Stockton Arena.
