This is one replay the Thunder wouldn’t mind seeing over and over again.
For the second time in two playoff series, the Thunder fell behind by two goals in the second game, rallied and won on an overtime goal by Chris D’Alvise, who might be the top clutch player in franchise history.
He’s got a special knack for the dramatic goal. The OT score against Colorado pretty much finished off the Eagles, who Stockton swept 3-0. This is a longer series and the Aces are made of sterner stuff, but the series has taken a turn in the Thunder’s favor.
Instead of being down 2-0, the Thunder are tied 1-1 with three games in a row at Stockton Arena, starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday and continuing at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It has shown it can beat the defending ECHL champs on their own ice, and the Aces now know that they are in a series.
This should be fun to watch.
