Aces’ experience makes difference in Game 1

The Thunder played hard and it played well in the first game of its series against Alaska. But the defending champion Aces know how to win a tough playoff game, and it showed on Friday.

After two scoreless periods, Stockton finally scored on a goal by Greg Squires in the third. The Aces responded quickly with two goals in a five-minute span and won 2-1.

That’s a rough loss to take, but the Thunder proved it can play with Alaska. Now they have to learn to finish off a playoff game against a very experienced foe.
