The CHP reports that, at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, a Nissan Altima sedan traveling west on Waterloo crossed the double line and crashed head-on into a GMC Sierra pickup truck headed eastbound. A Ford Taurus sedan following the truck slammed into the back of it. The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. The front passenger of the Nissan, the driver and passenger of the GMC were taken to area hospitals with major injuries. The driver and passenger of the Ford suffered complaints of pain.
