Production value

The Underwood/Hayes concert at the Stockton Arena was quite a spectacular-spectacular production. There were myriad lights and speakers, each with their own rigging. The stage had large moving parts, and it included a projection system with a huge screen that had to be at least 20 to 30 feet tall and ran the length of the stage. There were also other giant props hanging from the ceiling that I couldn’t stay around long enough to see.

When I left the arena, I got an idea of how big the concert was going to be. Eight tour buses were parked out behind the arena and 15 semi tractor-truck rigs were idling in the empty lot to the south of the arena, ready to pack up all the equipment when the show was done. I imagine that just watching it all being installed and then put away would have been quite a show in itself.
