Bell curve

There have been years in the past where summer temperatures had started in May, but this year the month of June started off with unseasonably cool temperatures in the 60s and low 70s. We even got a little wet from a couple of days of light rain.

It took a couple of weeks, but summer came roaring in with a couple of 100-degree days at about the middle of the month. Many people sought to get wet again, only this time to cool off from the heat.

Now the temperatures seem to have tapered off a bit to about as cool as the first of the month. We even had rain again on the last Tuesday of June. That meant I made pictures of water in the beginning, middle and end of the month, albeit for different reasons. If you chart out the June’s temperatures it probably looks like the proverbial bell curve, low at the ends and high in the middle.

But forecasts call for the heat to rise again in July. The way the summer is shaping up so far, who knows, maybe the graph will end up looking more like a roller coaster by its end.
