Stockton City Hall reporter Scott Smith posts on his blog today that incoming Mayor Anthony Silva wants to move the swearing-in ceremony for the City Council to the Sixth Floor of the County Administration Building. There’s more room in the room where the Board of Supervisors hold its regular meetings.
The individual supervisors have their offices on the Sixth Floor, too. Silva was there last week to meet with Supervisor Ken Vogel, expected to be the chairman of the board for 2013. Don’t know if he worked in a tour of the Board Chambers during the visit.
Stockton’s swearing in ceremony is on Tuesday. The Board of Supervisors reorganization is on Monday. Incoming Supervisor Bob Elliott is set to be sworn in. So are Supervisors Carlos Villapudua and Steve Bestolarides, who are beginning their second terms.
