The Record’s editorial board gave its endorsement to Measure D, the county ballot measure that would extend term limits on the Board of Supervisors and the county Board of Education from two terms to three terms.
The editorial calls it “good policy,” and notes the importance of experience, particularly in dealing with complex issues like water. But the endorsement does have some reservations, saying the editorial board is “deeply troubled” that the current supervisors who put the measure on the ballot would personally benefit if the measure passes.
