Here’s a couple of photos from the ribbon cutting for the launch of the San Joaquin Regional Transit District’s third Metro Express route.
RTD CEO Donna DeMartino and Director Les Fong are in the foreground. They’re flanked by Elbert Holman and Kathy Miller, Stockton City Council members. A note about the giant novelty scissors: They don’t cut. Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Stockton, is holding a pair of normal-sized scissors, which were used to cut the actual ribbon. You can barely glimpse Supervisor Steve Bestolarides and RTD Director Gary Giovanetti. Not pictured, but there, RTD directors Joni Bauer and Duane Isetti.
