Ransom appointed to prison advisory committee

Rhodesia Ransom was appointed to a two-year term on Deuel Vocational Institution’s Citizen’s Advisory Committee this week.

She was appointed by Warden Ron Rackly, but news was spread by state Sen. Lois Wolk, D-Davis, who nominated Ransom for the post. “I believe that Ms. Ransom will make an excellent member of the committee given her involvement in the community,” Wolk said in a statement.

Ransom is a Tracy Planning Commissioner and also a candidate for the open seat representing District 5 on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. She’s running against Tracy City Councilman Bob Elliott.
