Same sex marriage for state prison inmates

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation issued a memo clarifying the rules of same-sex marriages for California prisoners in response to an inquiry from Assemblymember Tom Ammiano. Prisoners may marry a same-sex partner who is not incarcerated, but cannot marry another inmate.
