Re: Alfredo Reyes Reyes arraignment after 30 years on the run

More from Linda Norwood (cousin of 13-year-old victim Nancy Rubia) that didn’t make it in the story:

“(Nancy) She was like my best friend. We shared a lot of things together. She was a very humble person. A very loving person. She was always helpful with family and always supportive.”

Nancy and Renee were 7th grade students at Hamilton Middle School.

“(Nancy’s) mother and my mother, they’re sisters but they’re the best of friends. We’ve all been a close very tight family. We’re still like that today.

Nancy brought a lot of love and joy into our lives. So when he killed her, he took that from each and every one of us. He took something very precious that he will never be able to replace.

The family just wants closure. We’re just hoping whatever they do to him, there will be closure and my cousin will be able to rest at peace…Our mothers can’t cope and deal with it. It’s too much.  It’s the way she had to die. We don’t understand why?”
