Courthouse security

I guess it’s worth mentioning that the public is forbidden from bringing weapons into the courthouse. This week two people were caught at screening with guns. One man brought in an Airsoft pistol, which looked like an actual gun and is an obvious no-no inside the courthouse.

And then, I’m told, a “well-dressed woman from out of town” came in with a .22-caliber pistol in her purse. She maintained that she forgot it was there because she carries it all the time. The gun was in a bag with the bullets, which counts as a loaded weapon, a source said.

In both cases, security staff called Stockton PD. Good job screeners.
