Stockton theater adds 3 a.m. showing of ‘Eclipse’

Today’s A1 story touches – barely – on the phenomenon around the bestselling book and movie series “The Twilight Saga.”

The third movie premieres in the early hours of Wednesday, at 12:01 a.m. to be exact. “Eclipse” is expected to be a blockbuster hit this summer.

I received a call this morning from a woman inquiring about tickets. I looked up sales at Fandango.com and noted something I didn’t see yesterday when reporting the initial story.

There’s now a 3 a.m. showing of the movie in digital and IMAX.

I’m a fan, but not sure I’d stay up that late. I have a hard enough time getting to sleep on nights I work until midnight. Quick searches of other movie theaters show that Regal is unique – as of 10:36 a.m. – in its offering.

So if you’re really hoping to see “Eclipse” tomorrow morning, the tickets appear to be available.
