Treasure box

Got to spend the morning volunteering in my 6-year-old daughter’s first grade class. I gladly do what the teacher asks me to do, so I graded papers and did the “Treasure Box.”

Treasure Box

The box contains little goods — pencils, erasers, stickers and today folders. Students who have behaved well in class receive stickers. Once they have accumulated 10 stickers, they get to select something from the Treasure Box. It’s a classic recognize good behavior system and the students love it. It shows how small items can go a long way.
