Mounce, Johnson re-elected

JoAnne Mounce and Bob Johnson were re-elected Tuesday night, making challenger Doug Kuehne the odd man out in the Lodi City Council race.

Mounce finished with about 41 percent of the vote and Johnson with just over 30 percent. Kuehne made a strong push with 27 percent, but it wasn’t enough.

Both Mounce and Johnson said during their campaigns that they want to hire an economic development director using electric utility funds. We’ll see how soon that issue is addressed as the new year approaches.
