Gang related bullets fly in Lodi over weekend

The following was posted on the Lodi Police Department’s Facebook page on Sunday night. Gang activity seems to have slowed some in recent months under the department’s gang suppression plan, but often times incidents like this often lead to retaliation.

Officers are investigating what is believed to be a gang related shooting that occurred in the 200 block of E. Oak St. this evening. Multiple rounds were fired between two groups of males. It is not believed that anyone was injured however buildings in the area were hit with gunfire. Anyone with information regarding this shooting is urged to contact LPD.
