Womack and Nava will seek re-election

Lodi Unified Trustees Ralph Womack and Joe Nava will both seek re-election in November. Both represent north Stockton portions of the district.

Nava, a retired SUSD teacher and coach, was first elected in 2008.

Womack was appointed to serve in 2012 after longtime Trustee Ken Davis resigned abruptly and left the state. Womack is a retired Stockton Police captain and currently oversees the Stockton Peacekeepers gang-intervention program.

No word yet on whether or not either Trustee will be opposed on the ballot. Today is the opening of the candidate filing period.
