Trout Bout on Saturday

The 25th Annual Trout Bout takes place Saturday, Nov. 21. at Oak Grove Regional Park. Today, the county parks staff planted 2,500 trout at Oak Grove’s 10-acre lake for Saturday’s 6 a.m. start. The event, which is co-sponsored by the Delta Fly Fishers, is a fun chance to bond with your kids and hook a fish (or a tree).  Competition is open to all ages, prizes for best weight in each age category. Hot dogs, chili and nachos available for purchase. Bring your own fishing pole and equipment. Call 331-2050 for more information.
