Delta Athletics Year in Review

Mustang Athletics had arguably their best year ever during the 2014-15 season. Delta finished 7th in California in the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) Cup, and 21st in the nation in the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. Eric Sloan set the nation’s leading mark in the triple jump with a distance of 54-0 feet!  He broke the stadium record distance at the De Anza Invitational and re broke Delta’s school record (53-6) which he earned last year. The Mustangs had a good weekend with women’s basketball winning a tournament, men’s basketball finishing as tournament runner-ups and three wrestlers placing at the State Championships.
