Little League Baseball brings tournament to Pacific’s Klein Field

The Northern California Big League Baseball Division tournament opens for a week-long run on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at 7 p.m., hosted by California District 8 Little League at Klein Family Field, University of the Pacific. As part of the Little League International Tournament, five Northern California teams, including the District 8 team from Stockton, will vie for the Division II championship and the opportunity to represent Northern California at Little League’s Western Region Big League Tournament in Bremerton, Washington. The winner of the Western Region tournament moves on to the Big League World Series which starts July 26 in Easley, South Carolina. Big League baseball is a division of Little League Baseball for players age 15-18.
