Busy Sports Week on Tap for Stockton

Stockton’s sporting facilities are packed full this coming week with a variety of events.  Whether you like baseball, softball, golf, soccer, or just good family fun, it is a great time to head on out to one of our facilities to check out all of the action.

Some of the highlights include:

Friday-Sunday:  California Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA Division II Conference) brings their conference softball championships to the beautiful Arnaiz Softball Complex off of Morada Lane.  Head on out and cheer on Sonoma State University, Chico State University, UC San Diego, or Humboldt State University as they compete for the conference championship and an automatic bid into the NCAA softball championships.  Tickets are only $8.00 per day for adults.

Sunday-Wednesday:  National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) brings their Division II Women’s Golf Super Regionals to Stockton’s Brookside Golf & Country Club.  Golfers from colleges from California, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma and other states converge on Stockton to compete for the NCAA Regional Trophy and for the right to proceed to Denver for the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships!  This event is FREE for spectators to come out and watch!

Saturday:  The University of the Pacific Baseball Team competes at Klein Family Field as they try to secure one of the top four spots in the West Coast Conference.  Come out and cheer on the Tigers, but also stay for the post-game fireworks.

Sunday-Saturday:  The Stockton Ports return home Sunday for a 7 game homestand that is stocked full of promotions and fun.  Sunday is a day game, so if you go out then…be sure to bring some sunscreen.

There is tons to do in Stockton.  Even if you aren’t a fan of sports, take the time to come out and cheer on the competitors, thank them for coming to Stockton, and acknowledge the fact that these events bring a large amount of economic impact to the City of Stockton.
