CCWD breaks ground on new HQ

Anyone who has been inside the Calaveras County Water District headquarters building in recent years knows it is cramped and dilapidated. That’s why it is such good news that the district Tuesday broke ground on a new headquarters building. Not only will it be clean, modern, and safe, but it will allow all employees to have work places under the same roof. Right now, the district augments its main headquarters building by cramming other employees in modular buildings that have long surpassed their planned lifespan. “It’s one of those things we’ve waited a long long time for,” said CCWD Board President Don Stump.
